This NP261XHD remanufactured transfer case is a direct replacement unit which fits 1999-2007 GM trucks with RPO code NP2. This is the manual shift unit for GM trucks with the 6.6L & 8.1L engines. It has a 29 spline input shaft that mates with the Allison automatic transmission & 6sp manual transmission. This remanufactured replacement is constructed to match or surpass original equipment manufacturer (OEM) standards. Moreover, all of our units will come with a newly enhanced, upgraded aluminum rear case half to address the widespread “pump rub” issue commonly found in 261 transfer cases.
This 261XHD is a completely remanufactured OEM replacement transfer case, with upgrades for longevity and reliability!
*Note* Please make sure you need the 261 XHD not the 261 HD before ordering!

Core Return Policy
We Will Pay For The Core Return Shipping (A Pre-Paid UPS Label Will Be Included In The Package)
*All transfer cases are sold on an exchange basis. In addition to the purchase price paid, we expect to receive a qualified core in return and our original shipping container back in all sales unless other arrangements are agreed upon prior to purchase and notated as such on the invoice. You have 30 days from the invoice date to return a qualified core and the original shipping container to us. If we do not receive a qualified core and our original shipping container within 30 days, you will be expected to pay an additional missing core and container fee ($200-$300 Depending on Unit)
*Note: If you have a bad or missing core, call us to confirm your details. In some cases we may accept an excessively damaged core as a valid Core Return if agreed upon prior to purchasing. If you have no returnable core, we may still be able to fulfill your order with a missing core fee, ($200-$300 Depending on Unit)
THERE WILL BE NO WARRANTY ON THE NEW TRANSFER CASE UNTIL WE HAVE RECEIVED EITHER THE RETURN CORE AND ORIGINAL SHIPPING CONTAINER OR THE MISSING CORE AND CONTAINER FEE. (See our Core Policy Page for more details)

Return/Warranty Policy
Are Returns Accepted?
Certainly, you may return an item within 14 days from the date of purchase. However, returns are not permissible if the product has been fitted into a vehicle, or has been altered, modified, or damaged. Refunds issued will not cover the initial shipping fees, and the responsibility for the cost of returning the item to us, which may vary by location and carrier rates, falls on the customer.
Will there be a restocking fee?
To process a return with us, you’ll need to obtain a return authorization. Please note that a restocking fee of 10% applies to all returns. Understanding the complexities of drivetrain diagnostics is exhausting, but before making a purchase, please ensure that the issue with your vehicle is indeed due to the transfer case. If a unit has been mounted in your vehicle, it becomes non-returnable. We encourage you to thoroughly verify the need for a transfer case replacement prior to placing an order. Should you need to initiate a return, reach out to us within 14 days of receipt.
Please note that return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.
